Week 10 Day 4; Sacrifice
Phillipians 3:11 "if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead."
This is a bold comment by Paul. He is so willing to relate to the dead to recieve the resurrection. This truly is an inspiring word and one I would have never have considered myself. How many times do I live comfortably withour ever thinking of sacrificing the things I hold dear. But Paul is willing to sacrifice his life, by any means. I'm sure Paul knew the weight of these words were this; "at any cost". How many times do I make promises to God, but never consider the cost. I ask for things to come but when they do I can barely stand. God has given promises to me and I trust and expect Him to bring them to pass. I want to be a woman of her word, especially in my word to God. He sacrificed His life for me, the least I can do is serve Him at any cost.
Application: I will write down something I have promised to do, consider the cost, and exicute this by any means.

Week 23 Luke 5:24 “But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”- He said to the man who was paralyzed, “I say to you, arise, take up your bed and go to your house.” When Jesus cleansed those who asked to be cleansed, we see that He always did so with greater purpose in mind. To cleanse the heart and to give hope to the lost. Often times i find myself paralyzed by fear, allusions, circumstances, whatever it may be. But God. Week 21 1 Kings 2:12 “Then Solomon sat on the throne of this father David; and his kingdom was firmly established.” We look at David’s life and with confidence can say he lived his life after the Lord. No man is ever perfect, but it was his willingness to return to God when he messed up that deeply encourages me. But we know that 10/10 people die and life goes on. As we are approaching some of the final weeks in Guatemala, I am determined to leave this place better than when I first came. I am determined to set a higher standard for the incoming class, just like the class before me. During this time I feel called to pray for the next generation in Guatemala, in the next class, and in my home. When we follow by example, we can see clearly what is good and what is great.  We become greater decision makers, and by the grace of grow in wisdom. May we all feel the weight to lay a firm foundation with whatever God has given us.

Week 5 Day 5; Obedience Hebrews 13:17 Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable to you. Being in Ignite has been such a blessing to me through all the staff who give up their time and rights to serve us. With that, we should be respectful and listen to what they have to say. This verse has reminded about what Austin talked about eariler this week about being a liability versus an asset. We signed up fot this program to surrender our rights and privleges because we wanted to see change. If we continue to walk in our own ways because we think we know better, we're only hurting ourselves. We're wasting their time and effort when their just trying to bless us and help us seek the Lord. Who wouldn't want that? So many times I have found myself becoming overwhelmed by the amount of things I need to do that I just end up not getting
