Week 1; Day 1

"But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him." -Hebrews 11:6

Without faith, we are nothing. We can not raise our hands during worship, close our eyes and pray for another, or have fellowship with God if we do not have faith. Without faith, everything we do is in vain. Our works, our prayers, our worship  mean nothing if we do not have faith in God. We obviously know from this verse, everything means nothing if we don't have faith. There was a time, when we all accepted Christ. When we did, was there any doubt in our heart that He wasn't God? If we believed Him then, why do we doubt now? Where is our Faith? As we gave to him, he will return. John 1:12 says, "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name." When we came in faith, we received our reward. Jesus. If we have Jesus, we know he is our reward; He is ours so we know we can have faith in Him. He will always be present, because we believe and have faith that He is.

Application: Serve before the Lord with faith. Seek Him in your service. At the end of each day this week, I will write down how i saw the Lord be faithful

Week 23 Luke 5:24 “But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”- He said to the man who was paralyzed, “I say to you, arise, take up your bed and go to your house.” When Jesus cleansed those who asked to be cleansed, we see that He always did so with greater purpose in mind. Week 5 Day 5; Obedience Hebrews 13:17 Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable to you. Being in Ignite has been such a blessing to me through all the staff who give up their time and rights to serve us. With that, we should be respectful and listen to what they have to say. This verse has reminded about what Austin talked about eariler this week about being a liability versus an asset. We signed up fot this program to surrender our rights and privleges because we wanted to see change. If we continue to walk in our own ways because we think we know better, we're only hurting ourselves. We're wasting their time and effort when their just trying to bless us and help us seek the Lord. Who wouldn't want that? So many times I have found myself becoming overwhelmed by the amount of things I need to do that I just end up not getting

Week 19 Psalm 27:13-14: “I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!” We know that all things work together for good to those who love God. For each heart that loves, God has set a purpose. I’ve heard a lot that our culture is one of the most impatient and there is good reason for that. We have everything we want almost instantly; no need to wait anymore. But I think one of the greatest lessons I’ve learned to let got year down my pride. I always thought I obtained godly characteristics, but I know I always fall short of those expectations. God has always had a plan and when I can’t see the blueprint clearly I freak and complain.
