Week 1; Day 4
Luke 8:22-25 "Now it happened, on a certain day, that He got into a boat with His disciples. And He said to them, "Let us cross over to the other side of the lake." And they launched out. But as they sailed He fell asleep. And a windstorm came down on the lake, and they were filling with water, and were in jeopardy. And they came to Him and woke Him, saying, "Master, Master, we are perishing!" Then He arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water. And they ceased, and there was a calm. But He said to them, "Where is your faith?" And they were afraid, and marveled, saying to one another, "Who can this be? For He commands even the winds and water, and they obey Him!"

This verse brings me comfort. Immediately Jesus said, "Let us cross". There are arfimity in His words. It was only when Jesus fell asleep that the storm came and i cant help but feel convicted of this in my own life. When I stop fellowship with My Lord, I focus my eyes on the waves and i begin to perish. I cry out and immediately The Lord calms my storm. Notice the disciples were with Jesus, but they didn't believe they would cross the lake. Its so easy to claim that we wouldn't do the same but so often we do. We forget God is all powerful and believe he wont pull through. The Lord fell asleep, hinting he had no doubt they would cross to the other side. Jesus calls them out on their faithlessness and the disciples were filled with both fear and marvel. I would be afraid too if the lord rebuked my faithlessness. And he does. So where is my Faith when I'm crossing the lake? I want to be in the presence of my Lord during the storm because He trusts we will make it to the other side.

Week 23 Luke 5:24 “But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”- He said to the man who was paralyzed, “I say to you, arise, take up your bed and go to your house.” When Jesus cleansed those who asked to be cleansed, we see that He always did so with greater purpose in mind. To cleanse the heart and to give hope to the lost. Often times i find myself paralyzed by fear, allusions, circumstances, whatever it may be. But God. He has transferred His power to overcome whatever obstacles I face. Here Jesus gives three commands. First, arise. A call to stand firm. Secondly, take up your bed. Forget the things of the past failures, habits or misconceptions that no longer confine you. Third, go to your house. Trust; Christ has empowered you and He will be your witness. I’m reminded that when Jesus called those to rise, be cleansed, to leave burdened lives behind, each one acted in faith. I want my life to be an example of faith because of my actions.

Week 5 Day 5; Obedience Hebrews 13:17 Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable to you. Being in Ignite has been such a blessing to me through all the staff who give up their time and rights to serve us. With that, we should be respectful and listen to what they have to say. This verse has reminded about what Austin talked about eariler this week about being a liability versus an asset. We signed up fot this program to surrender our rights and privleges because we wanted to see change. If we continue to walk in our own ways because we think we know better, we're only hurting ourselves. We're wasting their time and effort when their just trying to bless us and help us seek the Lord. Who wouldn't want that? So many times I have found myself becoming overwhelmed by the amount of things I need to do that I just end up not getting

Week 19 Psalm 27:13-14: “I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!” We know that all things work together for good to those who love God. For each heart that loves, God has set a purpose. I’ve heard a lot that our culture is one of the most impatient and there is good reason for that. We have everything we want almost instantly; no need to wait anymore. But I think one of the greatest lessons I’ve learned to let got year down my pride. I always thought I obtained godly characteristics, but I know I always fall short of those expectations. God has always had a plan and when I can’t see the blueprint clearly I freak and complain. It’s always refreshing to have vulnerable time with the Lord and say, “Lord I want to trust you, but I don’t. Help me to surrender my doubt.” Just by being honest with ourselves befo
